Check skills

During Recognition Assessment an assessor looks at documents that highlight your skills and experience. Documents include:

  • job descriptions
  • job references
  • reports from supervisors
  • copies of reports you have contributed to
  • minutes of team meetings you attended
  • certificates from training and/or community organisations
  • certificates of participation in professional development activities.

Remember, privacy laws mean you cannot provide workplace documents that identify a client. Even if you don’t have any documents you may still be able to do a Recognition Assessment.

Print your Documents checklist and yarn with your assessor about Recognition Assessment. Talk to them too about how to use this resource to create a learning pathway to build on your current skills and knowledge.
