Find out all the issues a person has before deciding on what social and emotional support information they might need.

Lots of issues, like financial stress, job loss, or family breakdown can impact on a client’s mental health and their use of grog, yarndi and other drugs.

Likewise, if somebody has mental health, grog or other drug problems these could  create a whole lot of social and emotional issues such as homelessness and legal troubles.

Providing social and emotional support means looking at the person’s physical, mental, social and spiritual health. It’s called a holistic view because it looks at all their needs.

Roll your mouse over the headings to see some of the issues that can affect people’s social and emotional wellbeing.
