Support clients

Listening carefully to what clients tell you is an important way of finding out their needs. It’s called active listening. Taking notes as you talk with a client is a good way to help you listen to what a client is telling you.

If you need to learn more about active listening before you do this task, go to the radio link and visit the On Air program about Communication. Or, you can start this task now. It’s up to you.

Note pad

Roll your mouse over each question to see Chantelle's story. Make notes as you read. You will need these later to help you identify all the social and emotional needs of the client. It will also help you write up the client’s history. Once you have finished, click next below to continue to the next task.
